Long-lasting and natural-looking results
As we age, our skin inevitably loses its youthful appearance as the production of natural dermal volumisers and moisturisers such as hyaluronic acid (HA) diminish, leaving lines and wrinkles where our skin was once youthful, even and radiant.
Today, the signs and symptoms of the natural ageing process can be reduced by replacing the lost hyaluronic acid with a dermal filler range like Belotero®. The secret of Belotero® products is their optimal adaptability to your individual needs, resulting in a natural-looking result. Once injected, the product evenly integrates into your own dermal tissues and subtly enhances your facial contours. In addition, the Belotero® range rehydrates your skin for a radiant appearance. One of the great advantages of the Belotero® family is that the effects, depending on the products, are long-lasting, between 9 and 18 months, but not permanent*.
During and after the treatment
Like other treatments with dermal fillers, Belotero® filler injections will take about 30 minutes to complete. Wrinkle filling, facial contouring and rehydration treatments are virtually painless. Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. Therefore, nearly the complete Belotero® range is available with lidocaine to enhance your treatment comfort.
The Belotero® products are hypoallergenic fillers and usually do not require a skin test prior to injection**. The aesthetic results are immediate and you will be able to continue your daily activities as soon as your appointment is over.
What the practitioner does
- The practitioner will remove any make up and the area to be treated will be cleaned thoroughly.
- Depending on your treatment, you may be asked to frown, relax your facial muscles or purse your lips so the practitioner can identify the wrinkles or lines to be treated.
- The practitioner injects the filler and massages the area around it in order to deploy the product.
After treatment, some injection-related reactions may occur, including redness, swelling and slight bruising. These reactions are completely normal, generally mild to moderate, and usually disappear within a week.
* Duration depends on many factors, such as the type of treatment, the treated area, the individual’s skin type, skin condition, life style and age.
** In patients with antecedents or with an active autoimmune disease or in patients presenting a history of several multiple allergies or anaphylactic shock, a skin test is required.
